Scenario: PlayStation 5
From Future
The Sony PlayStation 5 will be released in the year 2014 during the tail end of the economic cash crunch started in the year 2008. Even though there will be competitors and the global economy will eventually get out of its recession, Sony will come out on top with affordability, interactivity, and ease of use. The post-rock generation will worship the PlayStation 5 and Microsoft X-Box 1080 as "cool." Meanwhile, Nintendo once again becomes the system of choice for younger children who are not allowed to play a game that is rated for kids 10 years of age and older. Players will be able to play games from all countries on their PlayStation 5. The PlayStation will also have connection to regular physics; with the ability to control this on the PlayStation 5 with a controller.

The games will have photo-realistic graphics, realistic sports action, and realistic physics. There will also be virtual girlfriend games, games that allow players to virtually drive in their own neighborhoods, a program that allows the player to surf the Internet, and another program to allow him to start a free blog that can be read on the Internet from a PlayStation 5 or a personal computer. Nintendo will attempt to capture the under 10 crowd with its sports games, fantasy driving games (NASCAR and Formula One are examples), and any sort of game that does not have fighting, blood, or graphic violence to it. Microsoft will attempt to develop a darker variety of games to keep up with the PlayStation 5 crowd.
Role-playing game fans will gravitate towards the continuing saga of the Final Fantasy series, which will receive a boost from the PlayStation 5 as the game finally receives many updates from its predecessors on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. The first Final Fantasy game released for the PlayStation 5 would most likely be Final Fantasy XXVI. The combat scenes (especially with the final boss) will play out like the war scene on The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

The critics (particularly people over 35, parents who work minimum wage jobs, and jaded video gamers) will rave that the PlayStation 5 will not have graphics that surpass the PlayStation 4 until the year 2016; price will also motivate these people to be critics because these people were in constant jeopardy of being laid off during the economic hard times that last from 2008 to 2014 (even though Wal-Mart managed to take the lion's share of the profits in the retail industry). However, all three companies will create educational games in an attempt to keep the graces of the parents of the post-rock generation who were born in the year 1967 or later. These enlightened parents have experienced first-hand the atrocities of Mortal Kombat, Duke Nukem 3D, Doom, Quake, and Grand Theft Auto has done to society in the 1990s and early 21st century.
However, Sony will still try to lure the critics by offering compilations of Nintendo 64, Sega 32X, Sega Saturn, Sega Dreamcast, Sony PlayStation 1 and Sony PlayStation 2 games so that they can relive the past while enjoying the future at the same time.

South Park nostalgia will also run high during this era; resulting in a South Park game. This time Cartman and gang are 38 years old and they sing "Kyle's Daughter is a Brat." The game will be rated "T for Teen" by the Entertainment Software Ratings Board and dilute some of its more mature content in order to prevent a re-enactment of the South Park Scandal of 2012 which caused the television series to be cancelled and all South Park merchandise to be banned in Colorado.

Girls will find pleasure playing Gran Turismo for Girls that will feature dating and the option to use horses or bicycles instead of automobiles. However, less than 10% of games released for the PlayStation 5's lifetime will be directed towards females. There will also be a game where players can re-enact the historical 2008 American presidential election (either as John McCain, Barack Obama, Sarah Palin, or Joe Biden). What makes the election important to the post-rock generation is that Obama led Americans away from foreign oil and allowed ethanol, solar power, hydrogen, and nuclear fusion to eventually replace oil and natural gas.

The young kids can even virtually urinate on a tree, if desired. Adolescent boys will get to take advantage of a special built-in device that they attach to their penis. This device (called the auto-masturbation device) allows them to masturbate while their hands are using the PlayStation 5 controller.
