Scenario: Cure for Cancer

The cure for all forms of cancer (masculine, feminine, and gender-neutral) will be invented circa 2025 and will consist of eating a diet of exclusively sea-based animals, grains, and vegetables along with nanomedicine. Land-based animals (cattle, chicken, pigs, etc.) will be declared the primary culprit of cancer because the caricogens are spread from corn to animal to person. Since water-based animals and vegetables don't need corn (or any of the various corn by-products because it will all be diverted in ethanol eventually) to grow, 80% of the world's doctors will start to recommend a "strict fish, grains, and vegetables diet" by the year 2028. However, organic milk from live cows will be included in this new diet.

By the end of the 21st century, people will be eating popsicles made of fish and salads instead of hot dogs and hamburgers. Experiments to make beer out of grapes will eventually be unsuccessful and people will stop drinking beer in favor of cheap domestic wine.
