Scenario: 2028 Summer Olympics

From Future

The 2028 Summer Olympic Games will take place in South Africa. New events added for these Summer Olympic Games were stock car racing, massive multiplayer online role playing, American football, war games, and Texas hold 'em poker. These new events were the result of a democractic Internet election process (that was completely open to the public) that was relayed in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Russian, Japanese, and Chinese (essentially the civilized languages of the 21st century).

In the massive multiplayer online role playing game event that lasted from 5 minutes after the opening ceremonies ended until the final day of the Olympic Games before the closing ceremonies, the gold medal went to Japan while Korea got bronze and Taiwan went home with silver. The stock car racing event was a three medal event for the Republic of Canadamerica. Canadamerica also won the gold medal for American football while Japan went home with silver and Germany went home with the bronze medal. The gold medal winners for the war games event was Canadamerica, with the People's Republic of China acquiring silver and Iran receiving the bronze medal.
